Under, over, and between the street—children and teens explore the street environment in all its dimensions
In the Minikosmos Straße project, students explore the street—both the visible and invisible aspects, above and below the surface. Streets connect people, and so we want to use this project to bring together children and young people from diverse backgrounds and educational institutions by exploring the everyday yet often overlooked “street as a living space.”
Through age-appropriate and interactive workshops and field trips, we aim to spark enthusiasm for technology, planning, social issues, and interdisciplinary research. As part of the project, children and young people develop a lasting and comprehensive understanding of just how diverse technology can be and how it forms an important foundation for our daily lives.
Young people in particular—who otherwise have limited access to relevant fields—discover technical career paths of the future as areas of opportunity and growth, and their reservations are overcome.
