Final Workshops

Our wrap-up workshops for the AM4Kids project have taken place! In the so-called Future Council workshops, themed “Join Me on My Journey into the Future” and “Reality Check on Our Future Scenarios, ” the children and teens presented the ideas and visions for the future they had developed in the previous workshops. The students were able to step into the role of developers and simulate a research process. In the Future Council, the visions for the future they had developed were then reviewed in a “peer review” by the other students as well as by the consortium’s experts. Particular emphasis was placed on the key aspects of automated mobility and inclusion for future developments in the transportation system.

The goal was to present the Future Council in a real-life setting as a reality check for the future scenarios that had been developed. This allowed the children and teenagers to become familiar with the process—including appreciative, critical, and target-group-oriented feedback as well as peer review procedures—and to experience the resulting group dynamics.

Experts from the Vienna University of Technology (Department of Transportation Systems Planning), the University of Vienna (Institute of Sociology), the Austrian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, ZIS+P Transportation Planning, and B-NK engaged in a discussion with the students.
