Erasmus+ TCA in Neusiedl am See

Green Cool Schools GROW at the Erasmus+ TCA in Neusiedl am See

On June 17 and 18, 2026, we had the opportunity to present our project Green Cool Schools GROW Europe at the Erasmus+ TCA Strengthening Cross-Border Cooperations through Inclusive Education in Neusiedl am See, Burgenland.

The TCA (Training and Cooperation Activity) brings together teachers, school administrators, and educational staff from various European countries to strengthen professional exchange, establish new cross-border partnerships, and develop concrete Erasmus+ project ideas. The event was organized by the OeAD, the national agency for Erasmus+, and was aimed at participants from Germany, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

As part of the TCA , Agnes Renkin and Jelena Gaspar led two workshops on the topic “Green Cool Schools GROW Europe – Inclusive Learning through Action.” Together with the participants, they explored how greening projects can be implemented in schools and how all students can be actively involved in the process.

The building instructions developed as part of the project served as a practical foundation. They provide step-by-step guidance on how to plan and implement greening initiatives at schools. At the same time, participants gathered initial ideas and inspiration for their own projects at their schools. The high level of interest demonstrated that many schools want to implement concrete greening measures and are looking for practical approaches.

This intensive exchange has also led to new contacts for potential future collaborations. It will be particularly interesting to see whether these encounters can lead to a follow-up project that focuses even more strongly on the practical implementation of greening projects at schools across Europe.

We are very pleased with the great interest in our workshops and hope that the participants were able to take away plenty of ideas, practical insights, and motivation for their own school greening projects.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the OeAD for the invitation and the opportunity to present Green Cool Schools GROW as part of this inspiring European event.
