We warmly invite you to a webinar at which we will present the findings from two pioneering projects:
1. Project„Strasshof. Klimafit “
Over the course of several years, we have supported the municipality of Strasshof an der Nordbahn in implementing climate-resilient measures and adapting to climate change. In this webinar, we will outline the entire process and demonstrate how Strasshof, as a pilot municipality, has developed and implemented sustainable, climate-resilient solutions.
2. Study: ‘Space, Greenery & Local Authorities’
On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection and the Climate and Energy Fund, we investigated how greening measures can be better integrated into Austrian spatial planning regulations. To this end, we have developed a prototype planning toolkit for three pilot municipalities. This webGIS-based tool enables the rapid identification of climate risks at municipal level, whilst also providing concrete proposals for climate change adaptation measures in line with various local spatial planning instruments. A report containing specific recommendations for action supports the use of the tool.

The webinar is aimed at anyone working in the field of local spatial planning, those who advise local authorities, local councillors and political decision-makers in the field of spatial planning – with a particular focus on local and regional spatial planning in Austria.
