The second GENDER4POWER consortium meeting took place in Vienna on May 5 and 6 and was kindly hosted by the Austrian Energy Agency.
Over the course of two productive days, the partners updated each other on the current status of the demonstration projects, discussed project progress, and exchanged ideas on upcoming measures to promote gender-equitable approaches to combating energy poverty and implementing inclusive renovation measures.
A key highlight was the capacity-building workshop, during which the demonstration projects worked together on:
• Define priority target groups for each demonstration project
• Identify specific training topics that meet local needs
• Assign each topic to the predefined thematic areas
On May 6, the consortium also had the opportunity to engage in a discussion with Austrian GENDER4POWER ambassadors and key stakeholders in the fields of energy poverty and inclusive renovation, moderated by Kerstin Schilcher of the Austrian Energy Agency. The discussions focused on strengthening participation, communication, and civic engagement.
