1. Information session

Follow-up report on the first information session

On 17 March 2026, our first information event on the EW4VEnergieWende project took place at the Wieden Town Hall under the slogan: “Let’s work together to make our neighbourhood fit for the future!”

The aim was to inform property owners, property management companies and other interested parties about the development of a cross-property renewable energy supply within the block and to outline the next steps in the project.

During the event, key topics such as potential renewable heat sources, how an anergic heating network works, and the benefits for the properties were presented and subsequently discussed.

The participants showed particular interest in the technical parameters, especially the specific implementation options for “their” building and the expected timeframe for the project.

What everyone agreed on, and what became clear, is that solutions spanning multiple properties can only be devised and subsequently implemented through collaboration – and real-life examples from Vienna demonstrated this!

The lesson we can take from this is that actively sharing information and positive word of mouth within the neighbourhood are crucial for engaging more property owners and making joint implementation possible.

The findings will be incorporated into the next stages of the project, in particular into a more detailed examination of site-specific solutions and the targeted engagement of further stakeholders.

Two further information sessions are planned.
