Exchange, further development, and an inclusive highlight in Parliament<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

An intensive and productive project meeting took place on April 16, 2026, as part of the Kura:Div project<\/a>. The focus was on detailed coordination of the individual work packages as well as a comprehensive exchange on current developments surrounding the Kura:Div Companion app. In addition, the next project steps were planned and further refined together. <\/p>\n\n

A particular highlight of the meeting was the invitation to the Austrian Parliament. At the initiative of Ms. Greiner, we were given a guided tour of the permanent exhibition “Demokratikum \u2013 Experience Parliament,” which focused specifically on aspects of inclusion. The exhibition is an impressive example of how cultural and political content can be made accessible to everyone. Interactive stations featuring multimedia content provide information about democracy and parliamentarianism in Austria. <\/p>\n\n

It was particularly interesting to explore how exhibits are presented to blind and deaf visitors. The exhibition offers a variety of solutions in this regard: display cases are designed to be wheelchair-accessible, and information is presented in various formats, including simple language. In addition, an app helps visitors navigate the building with ease. <\/p>\n\n

The visit clearly demonstrated how the Austrian Parliament actively promotes inclusion and creates spaces that are accessible to all citizens. This insight provided valuable inspiration for the project\u2019s future work\u2014particularly with regard to digital and physical accessibility. <\/p>\n\n
